Hello. Does anyone have any experience of the SCQF Level 5 An Introduction to Counselling course at either Edinburgh College or West Lothian College. Not so much looking for info on course content or prospects, as not looking to get into counselling, but more looking for info on the colleges and the teaching staff on the courses.
I had hoped to sign up to the one at Edinburgh College but they have already closed applications for March intake. West Lothian College is still taking applications but would be quite a journey every week so want to make sure it is worth it.
How did you find teaching staff and support at either college? Thanks.

I did this course at Edinburgh College a few years ago. We had a change of tutor mid course, due to personal circumstances of the first tutor, and I found I much preferred the new tutor. However both were good in very different ways and actually it was quite useful to experience their different styles. I don't have experience of the West Lothian course, sorry. I would encourage you to go for it though, it was honestly the most useful training I have done as an adult, both on a personal and professional level, and in ways I really hadn't expected.

Thanks for this info @guinnessguzzler , sorry I missed your reply until now.
I really want to do it. Just need to figure out if I can get to Livingston every week. Annoyed that I didn’t manage to apply to Edinburgh College before the course filled up.
