Primary 1 "our class is my family"?

Is anyone familiar with the book "our class is my family"? P1 child has come back rabbiting about how family isn't just those at home, but its his class too, and how we need to love everyone and accept them as they want.
I'd usually be nonplussed by this, but have become a bit worried by how the snp work with all (thankfully unsuccessful) named person shenanigans!

It is American but I think is aimed at helping very young children get to grips with concepts such as ensuring everyone has their say, gets a fair share, turn taking and that the classroom should be a welcoming and supportive place.

Having had a quick look I'm pretty sure there are better books on these topics but I don't think there is anything terribly sinister about it. Often in P1 they do quite a lot about fairness, cooperation and sharing - as these are developing concepts/new ideas for many at that age.

Ah thanks @readsalotgirl63 I'd come across this too and had presumed it was, but dc said no, so glad you're saying same!

If you are concerned there's no harm in asking the class teacher to clarify - it can be quite tricky trying to figure out quite what's going on from what a 5 year old is telling you .

I'd double check with the teacher.

Classroom peers and teachers are in no way family. Very strange subject matter for children.
