Anyone know if the extra trains put on after big Edinburgh concerts go straight to Glasgow or do all the usual stops?

Delighted to have got Taylor Swift tickets for next year and would have liked to stay over but I'm not paying those prices! So potentially looking for somewhere near to the station instead.

Are the late night extra trains expresses or do they stop?

i'm fairly sure they stop but probably not at all stations - during the day i think every other train stops at most of the intermediate stations. There's later trains on during August for the festivals so that might give you a clue. Are you planning to stay in Glasgow?

Ooooh. Staying in Glasgow is an interesting idea. Watching…

I didn’t know there were extra trains put on, that’s great as I would prefer to get home to Glasgow that night.

The hotels here in Glasgow will wise up to it I'm sure.

I've seen extra trains advertised for Harry Styles, Beyonce etc but they don't mention the actual stops. I thought I might get a better deal out Lenzie, Bishopbriggs way but no use if the train goes by it!

I looked into doing something similar several years ago for the Rolling Stones and looked at Falkirk - prices looked reasonable( at that time)

The last Citylink bus is at midnight and I know some stop at Murrayfield?

Coronationstation · 04/08/2023 19:15

The bus probably wouldn’t stop at Murrayfield when there’s been a
concert on, or it would be a gamble on the roads reopening, as they close the A8 to allow the crowds to walk along the road to Haymarket and the buses get diverted along queensferry road.

Right. It's been a long time since I was at Murrayfield
