Exciting/adventurous ideas for teen birthday anyone?

Ds loves thrills, his birthday treats over the years have been things like go ape, Aquadash, Segway. Really struggling for this year! He wanted a karting centre in Larkhall but they are closed on his birthday.
Central belt/an hour or so north or south of this is all fine.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm sure there's something we haven't done out there, but could use some help on my Google quest!

Coasteering is great fun

He has gone for the F1 simulator which I'm happy with as we can all do it, and he can't crash into anything real!
I'm saving all these ideas for next year though. Thanks so much for all the suggestions.

There's indoor karting in Cambuslang which my ds has had for birthdays, separate sessions for 12 and under and 13+. Really good track, my dh went for the adult session with ds and 2 nephews a couple of weeks ago and they had a ball!

sadaboutmycat · 31/07/2023 20:43

Tank paint balling!

My lads loved it as older teens 😊😊

Outside laser quest - an outside facility in woods with great equipment and in teams was a huge success for my teens in Edinburgh - I still remember the huge fun they had in the 'capture the flag' game. Preferred this to paint balling which can be painful and leave kids with bruises 😬

This is a great list and I'm saving any ideas we didn't use for next year!
The F1 simulator definitely for the thumbs up. It is very realistic, bit too much for me as made me feel sick! But everyone else was fine.
