We're celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary soon and would like to have a meal for our closest friends in a really nice restaurant but in a private room so it's a bit more special.
Does anyone have any recommendations, Glasgow West End or Loch Lomond, Dumbarton area?

The Bothy is lovely, it's private room seats about 20.

Oh thanks @Midlander01 I'll check it out 👍

I also came here to say the bothy. The room comes nicely decorated. The minimum spend is £700-800 but I organised a lovely night for a special birthday in March and it was worth it.

Oran Mor has a lovely private room. We used it last year for a family birthday - food was very tasty and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Have you considered The Ubiquitous Chip? It does have discrete areas which are quite private. It's a long time since I've been there though so it would be worthwhile visiting to check.

I've emailed Oran Mor, it looks like it's a price per head, The Bothy sounds a bit out of my price range but I'll get in touch because it really is lovely there!

Any other suggestions? It could be a nice hotel too.

Friend went to Oran Mhor for a Christmas meal with many family members. She said it was terrible as the food was cold and not very nice. She was so disappointed but they did get some money back as they acknowledged their failure.

Not west end but the butterfly and the pig on bath st you can book for a private function

Firefightress1 · 04/06/2023 12:53

Congratulations.
We had a lovely dinner party at the gardener in ashton lane.

The butterfly and pig is lovely too, our friends had their engagement party there. Both are reasonably priced too.

What about The Buttery? They have a wee room for 8 or a bigger room for 35.

Or further afield The Loch Lomond Arms at Luss? Haven't been there myself but looks nice...

There's a restaurant in Paisley called Pendulum, it has a private dining room at one end, glass wall separating it from the main restaurant. Not sure how many it seats, it was set up for 16-20 when I was in (looked like a leaving party). ooh, just looked at their website, apparently it can seat 30 in there. Lovely view of the Abbey!

I've only breakfasted there so no idea how good their cooking is at night, but the menu looks nice.
