Family activities near New Lanark Mill

Have a 3 day stay at New Lanark Mill coming up. Group is adults and toddlers.

Thinking:
1 day exploring the immediate area, doing some walks, swimming at the hotel etc.
1 day at Clyde Valley Family Park.

Can anyone recommend any other family friendly activities roundabout that might be worth a visit? We don’t know the area at all!

Chatelherhault Country Park near Hamilton has a children’s play park , cafe and lovely walks down by the river . Probably about 20 /25 minutes from your hotel.

The Purves Puppets at Biggar puppet theatre is a traditional puppet show … depends obviously if any of the shows coincide with your visit. Biggar is about 20 minutes from Lanark .

Falls of Clyde maybe
Lanark Loch? Can take bird seed and feed the swans. Think they have a play park too

Lanark loch is nice, there are a couple of garden centres with lots to do. One has a petting zoo
