I’ve just read the document and it is very detailed. I did 3 IVF cycles with GCRM (pre TFP) and have 1 child from 3rd cycle. I found them very supportive and led by scientific evidence. I know I would not have had my child had Marco Gaudoin not been my doctor and advising me.
There’s a lot of background here and I do think the manager was obstructive and a very poor manager, alongside a push on ICSI treatment, however I also think the woman involved would be a nightmare to work with. She took a grievance out against the dr for the way he greeted her and demanded a PUBLIC apology. From what I read in the document, I think she was out of her depth in the busier lab and probably didn’t want to move from Nuffield. I do think there were staff shortages and a push for new patients to be treated sooner which isn’t great. Like most cases like this, I’m guessing it’s way more complex with the personalities involved.
Look at their stats before deciding whether to use them or not. I admit I haven’t looked for a while so I don’t know how they compare these days. I just wanted to pop on to say that I trusted the GCRM hugely when I had treatment and not to be too hasty in deciding not to go there on the basis of this.
It will be interesting to see what the award is.
