Just read this article by Robin McAlpine, which encapsulates my feelings about the SNP ( and why, even if you were to support independence, it would be a disaster if it happened now)

I'm no independence supporter but I find Robin McAlpine to be a very thoughtful and considered writer, in stark contrast to most of the SNP. He's absolutely right - smart people question things, so if you purge your organisation of people who ask difficult questions in favour of blind obedience the talent pool you're left with is extremely shallow and full of crap.
