I traveled repeatedly between the most restricted area of Scotland and England in 2020-2021.

It was like going to another planet.

England was back to normal when we weren't allowed to take DCs to our nearest park, 3 miles away.

My DCs did lose a year of their childhoods.

You weren't here. You don't know.

Sorry I know not a school comment but no real acceptance of the care home fiasco - my DP lost his wonderful father and we will never forgive or forget.

I posted as I was surprised there wasn't more reaction to Jason's comments.

I wasn't impacted by school closures although DC did miss out on final year and a bit of uni as all was online. Also graduation was cancelled.

I was particularly upset by the impact on an elderly relative who's dementia rapidly worsened due to social isolation.

And am concerned about the number of children who haven't returned to school.
