As above looking for somewhere that feels cosy and a little but special but will be accepting of children for lunch next week. Is the hydro itself any good for food?

I've eaten at the Hydro a few times, I cleared my plate and don't remember whingeing about it so it must have been okay 😀

I've heard good things about Craobh in James Square though haven't tried it. Same with The Tower, which is at the very top of the High Street.

I like Delivino just down from the monument in the square. The food is also good at the Murraypark, the sister hotel of the Hydro. The Terrace at the Hydro is good but pricey.

I would second both Croabh and Delivinos

The restaurant in the Glen Turrett distillery (famous grouse experience) is really good, though it was a while ago that I went :-)

The hydro food is pricey but amazing. I was so impressed and I'm quite judgy with good. Had the chicken green salad thing and the chicken kebabs recently. Delicious.

The golf club at the hydro is also good for food or the tower in the village. They have a wee play park there.

25 mins away - another Tilly tea room in dunblane. Out of this world and very very reasonable!

There’s the visitor centre, reasonably priced though probably not the same as a cosy cute tearoom. However it is very close to the large Nutcracker Christmas shop which is well worth a visit with lots of European style decorations to buy.
