Post graduation ceremony evening meal for four. Two modern parents 😉with two young men.

Something quicky, something delicious. I've looked at Michelin starred but really can't justify the price. I've also considered The Butchers Shop/Spanish Butcher and SixbyNico - but are these glorified chains?
Really love independents!

Preferably central Glasgow or Shawlands and surrounding. We can get a taxi elsewhere of course.

The finnieston is exceptional. Independent, fabulous and great atmosphere

Ox and Finch
Ka Pao (same people as Ox and Finch btw) - good but not sure I'd go for such a special occasion
The Gannet - v good
The Finnieston (reliable, seafood)
Shucks (seafood - part of Cail Bruich group which IMO is best food in Glasgow - really good for a celebratory atmosphere)
No. 16 - v small and cosy, excellent food
Celentanos - good food, sometimes a bit different, a bit out of the way though close to Strathclyde Uni.
Spanish Butcher if they like meat.

A couple of people have suggested Sugo - it's great but more cheap and cheerful.

My list exactly Smile

I love The Butchershop (didn't think it was a chain?) and think it feels pretty fancy. I'd choose that for a special occasion.

beachcitygirl · 11/11/2022 23:01

The butcher shop isn't a chain. It's a local guy. He owns one other restaurant in glasgow. I know him.
