Has anyone ever pulled out a new build missives

I am having buyers regret about area I have chosen in Edinburgh suburbs and think I would
prefer East Lothian.
was moving from down south without any help so don’t judge about making a mistake.

i have already signed the missives on new build and paid deposit £18000 aprrox plus flooring. The are delayed but not over the long stop.
Is there anyway to pull out before completion given the massive LBTT. Or better or have to complete and sell.

You'd be best speaking to your lawyer and the builder. Then you'd know both the legal position AND what the builder thinks. The builder might have a queue of people waiting for a property and be able to sell it for more than you paid and therefore be happy enough for you to pull out and for you to lose some or all of your deposit. You might be able to do a deal with them for less cost that your legal obligations.
