I'm finally moving to Skye on Friday.....

I just wanted to sat a big thank you to everyone who has helped on my posts. We originally looked elsewhere as we never thought we could afford or secure our dream house.
It's been a difficult journey, the job I was dansferribg into was rescinded and I had to apply for something completely new, there is an investigation ongoing about the way I was treated even though I'm leaving. I'm just so relieved!
It took 10 weeks for our mortgage offer and then another week to sort put all of the mistakes with it due to our broker. We've certainly learnt a lot through this process but we got there in the end.
So thank you all!

Really sorry to hear about job offer being rescinded. What an added stress and awful when they knew you were moving for that job. I think that was your dream job too?

If you don't mind me asking - did you have to offer much over the asking price? We're also looking and don't know what the situation is in terms of making an offer that's likely to be considered.

Also, where on Skye are you moving? Hoping we might be there in the next couple of years!

Hi, we paid 10k over the asking which was 330k but we were extremely lucky! It was a very personal sale, I think they could have sold for a lot more. I'm between broadford and the bridge.
Had the best first weekend, the weather was amazing.
I start my new job tomorrow eek! I'm still pinching myself that I live here, I hope it all works out for you x
