Support thread for parents with little ones starting Primary 1 tomorrow

Hi all!

My little boy starts tomorrow. He's been ok all Summer, very excited and eager and the last few days he has become nervous and worried about it. Everything's organised, we're ready.

He is an older one in his class having turned 5 over the Summer. He's my second child to start school and I thought this would be easier as I've done it before! Tomorrow will be emotional.

Good luck! My wee one started yesterday. It seemed to go quite well. He is also my second child, but one of the younger ones in his class, he turns 5 in a couple of months, so I do worry a little about how he will cope, especially socially. He does absolutely love stories, art and music so I am hoping the abundance of those in P1 will ease him into it.

My wee one started on Wednesday too. He settled fine thankfully!

He has just recently turned five. One of the smallest in his class.
