Urgent - Does Level 7 (advanced Higher or HNC) count as 'advanced education'

I can't get any sense out of Govt websites or advice line.
Ds did Highers in S5.
He may go onto Advanced Highers or do a 1 yr HNC.
Both of these are Level 7 in the Scottish Credit & Quals Framework.

Would this stop his Child Tax Credits as 'Advanced Education' please?

All I can find is info about English quals or conflicting info about Scottish ones.

I don't think advanced highers stop tax credits, as it's school.
Some college courses do, and there is confusion (or was a few years ago) about what counted in Scotland.

Not sure if that will work.
The cpag has a worksheet suggesting hnc is advanced education

I remember reading in the paper a couple of years ago that AH counted as non advanced (so CTC/CB not affected) but HNC counts as advanced. Not sure if that was reversed. On SAAS site it says HNC is considered as advanced so seems like this wasn't reversed.

Would the SAAS bursary/loan make up for what you will loose on child benefits?

Thanks - thats really helpful.

It seems that Advanced Highers would not stop the payment
but an HNC would. Despite them being on the same level 7
on the Scottish qualifications framework.

Madness !!!
