Not for me for a relative who lives there. They’re phoning Gp tomorrow but anyone know how it works at the moment. Are there any drive through centres? Thanks

I think You just do an LFT is symptomatic now. No PCRs available any more.

And you will have to pay for the LFT. Or at least you do in England unless getting them because your job or other reason.

Thanks- his LFT is negative but the symptoms are basically all the Covid symptoms and I wondered if PCRs were still available as they are more accurate

Do they need to confirm covid? Either way I would not waste the GP time on this, unless they need medical intervention for the symptoms. It's not a GP issue.

LFT unless they fit in the categories above ⬆️

Hope relative feels better soon ❤️‍🩹

No PCRs anymore except for certain circumstances as PP has linked.
It's rife at moment so he just needs to follow the stay at home advice for 5 days if he's pretty sure he's got symptoms.. Sometimes it can take a few days for LFT to show positive so he could keep testing

Hope he feels better soon

You'd need to pay for a private PCR as they are no longer available through the nhs for the general public
