Travel Inn / Lodge near a beach?

Hello

We are in the process of moving house so looking to take my wee one to a Travel Inn or Travel Lodge near the beach for this weekend, whilst husband packs. Any ideas? Looking for fairly cheap as we've spent a fortune moving.

Thanks!

You've not said whereabouts in Scotland you are. That would help narrow things down.

That and what distance you are prepared to travel.

Prepared to travel anywhere!

You're driving I assume.

Cullen is nice, lovely beach and ice cream shop. No chain hotels but you'd get a guesthouse or b&b fairly cheaply.

Thanks, I know Cullen well.

Was hoping there was a Travel Inn very close to a beach but there doesn't appear to be!

Travel Lodge and Premier Inn (assume you mean them) both have functions on their websites to search by location. If you put in Scotland you will see which ones are in costal areas e.g TLs in Fort William, Helensburgh, Ayr

Whitley Bay Premier Inn is right by the beach if you're willing to expand your horizons beyond Scotland.
None of the Scottish PIs are particularly close to beachy type places www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/scotland.html
Parkdean have some late availability for 3 nights this Friday - the sites in Northumberland and and Wemyss Bay are all from less than £300.

Premier inn at St Andrews.

I think it might be a bit booked up this weekend with golf fans!

FogoInn · 14/07/2022 08:30

Yes that was my 1st thought too @emmathedilemma
And any last minute cancellation would be a ridiculous price!

emmathedilemma · 14/07/2022 09:33

@FogoInn the last accommodation availability i saw for St Andrews this week was over £10k for 7 nights in "luxury lodges"......they were basically large static caravans with a hot tub! It probably explains why they still had availability!

Not an obvious one but Aberdeen has a Premier Inn on Mealmarket Street and about a 10/15 minute walk to Aberdeen beach? Beach at Fittie is lovely when the weather is nice and there is soft play etc. at Codonas if it’s raining?

Ayr or Berwick upon Tweed
