Is anyone able to tell me how long it took for their passport to arrive after they'd received your old one?.

Ignore the full stop in the title!

I’ve renewed 2 passports in the last 6 weeks and both new passports came before the old ones were returned.😀

(I copied and posted my details from another passport thread I was on)

Final updated details
Child renewal: Completed online 14th May
Old passport sent to Peterborough: 16th May
PO delivered old passport: 17th May
Confirmed received old passport: 25th May (8 days after receiving)
Approved date: 30th May
Printed date: 3rd June
Received date: 8th June
Total time taken: 3 and a 1/2 weeks
Holiday date: none planned, but can start to look now.

Still waiting for mine - it's just a replacement for a non-expired lost passport. Submitted in March; started processing at start of April. Still waiting.

Looking at these post, if they've lost it [again] how can you find out, if you can't contact them?

Furious update for you. Now they say they can't find my application! I found a contact page here eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outreach/Passport_Enquiries.ofml
and their response was to say they can't find it. I am staggered at the incompetence!

I have given them all my details again now so I hope to God they haven't lost it altogether.
