Help - somewhere to eat linlithgow area for family celebration

Hi looking for some ideas - Dad has a big birthday later this year and family from England are coming up for the celebrations. They've booked a cottage near Linlithgow and I'm now tasked with finding somewhere to go for lunch or dinner that:

  • isn't too loud as Dad hasn't seen family for ages and people will want to chat

  • does plain food (uncle is notoriously fussy and will not eat anything classed as exotic)

  • Caters for vegetarians and vegans

Pub is fine, doesn't have to be restaurant ...

Any thoughts?

We held a family meal in the Park Bistro a few years ago. They have a private area for big groups which was great as it meant the younger children could move around without getting in the way. Lovely location by the canal and a pretty broad menu with plenty of plain options.

Oh thank you both. Never heard of this place and wouldn't't be somewhere I would come across by accident. Looks perfect. Plain eaters love a burger

Champany Inn. It ticks all your boxes.
