How many times have you been called for jury service in last 5-6 years?

I've been called up what I believe to be an unreasonable amount of times. Once I was exempt due to holiday. The rest I did what was required. I've not actually been selected for a jury yet so keep getting called up. Will wait for some responses before I say how many times it's been.

I've had a Glasgow postcode for 15 years and haven't been called - although I am East Dunbartonshire rather than Glasgow, not sure that makes any difference?

Yes - that's the difference. It depends on which council area you live in. If you live in Glasgow council you are likely to be called a not. EDC - never!

Age 36 never been called up EVER! Suits me though 😂

I’ve been called three times. Once I wasn’t selected, second time I was and sat on a jury for a fortnight and called again recently but it was cancelled! I’m 36. Glad you managed to speak to someone and get it sorted out OP!

Once and I got a medically exemption as I was bleeding daily prior to surgery.

My colleagues has been called up 3 times in 6 months despite having a letter from HR they have refused to exempt her despite the fact we've barely had any staff.

If you are EDC then you may be called to do jury duty at Dumbarton Sheriff Court, not in Glasgow. Different sheriffdom.

I’ve been called 3 times in 14 years. They seem to have a huge backlog at the moment, I’ve lost track of how many colleagues have been called in the last few months, there’s someone nearly every week at the moment.
