Arbroath High is higher up the rankings in the 2021 league table than either Carnoustie or Montrose. There is a drugs issue in the town - as with many - but it’s is not “awash with drugs”. There are nice areas to live.

arbroath is lovely, yes there is druggies, but doesnt every town. The harbour is beautiful with lots of quaint shops, sweets n treets, bosuns cabin ,Art on the quay restaurants, not to mention the smokies and chip shops. the high street is tired - but blame angus council on that for forcing businesses to close with stupid car parking charges, (thankfully now nearly gone) there are great parks, lots of walks, brilliant childrns area down the front, horseriding lama walking you name it,

Definitely have a look at Carnoustie though if you can. And maybe Monifieth, which if you squint is almost lovely Broughty Ferry.

I lived in Arbroath. Made some good friends but found it to be one of those places where you had to have liv d there for generations to be accepted. Moved from there to Stonehaven. Totally different vibe. Lovely town. Great schools.

Hi,
My Niece is thinking of moving from Glenrothes to Arbroath. She has two young children, one with SEN; would this be a good move?

Thanks in advance,
