I would be very grateful for recommendations of hairdressers - Stirling/ Dunblane/Falkirk/ Glasgow/ Edinburgh - who are excellent at cutting and colouring. My hair is looking tragic since menopause and I need an excellent cut to give me a bit of a boost. It is currently in a shapeless mid bob and I am looking for someone who cuts fringed slightly layered bobs really well. Thank you

Lime Salon are colour specialists. They have salons in Falkirk and Fife. Look them up on Facebook or Instagram.

They're not cheap though.

Thank you. Will check them out.

I go to Lucy at Calder and Calder, Marchmont, Edinburgh. I think she's brilliant. If you're looking for edgy colour, Hot Head are good too.

Thank you for the recommendation, Morris

After yet another disappointing appointment at a local salon where the colourist just did not listen to what I wanted (damn shame as the guy who cut my hair was good), I now make the 50 mile round trip to Cheynes in George Street, Edinburgh.

Again, not cheap (between £170 and £200) but I've only been a few times so far and I'm so much happier with the cut and the colour.

Emma Hall in Leith is wonderful. I love going there.

If you will Travel to Bo'ness, Eileen at Grow has done lots of extra training and always does a fab job.
