Anyone went through Edinburgh airport recently, whats the queue like

Hearing horror stories of down south, wondering if Edinburgh is as bad?

Flew out of Edinburgh yesterday and it was fine. Security absolutely normal. Was chatting to bar staff in the lounge and they said the weekend had been horrendous, on par with the footage from Manchester and Heathrow. So I suppose it depends on your timings. Sorry that wasn't much help .

Flew out of Edinburgh Sunday afternoon. It was busy but we arrived 2 1/2 hours before flight (Jet2) and had plenty time in departures. Shops & restaurants through there were busy but everything was fine. Flight took off on time.

Flew Sunday, no issues at all. But there's a live security wait time listed on Edinburgh airport you might want to monitor as gives you a good idea, my understanding is security has been the main crunch point.

I went a couple of weeks ago and in February and both times the queue was dead.

However if you get there and there's a big queue, you used to be able to buy a fast track pass at around £5. Looks like you still can www.edinburghairport.com/help/terms-and-conditions/fasttrack-security

I flew out of Edinburgh yesterday morning. It was busy in security (although I have FastTrack so swerved most of the queue). They were moving people through though.

I've read various reports, this is probably the worst though! The airport have been appealing on the radio for people to be aware of what's allowed in your hand luggage and asking you to be ready for security i.e. coat off, liquids and laptops out of bags etc. to help the queues. It seems they are short staffed and everyone has forgotten how to travel!

Remember Edinburgh schools are just about to finish up for holidays so this weekend could be busier

Meant to say too security was busy as people weren't putting liquids into correct wee plastic bag. So posters saying we've forgotten how to travel are spot on!! We went through family channel though (2 young children) & were through in 5 mins.

Flew out from Edinburgh early on Wednesday morning. Security was busy but moving quickly. I was through within 15/20 mins. Key is being organised with liquids, laptops/tablets etc.

You can also buy a fastrack pass in advance.
