I'm getting a bit stuck on how to get out the house and do things other than walks with my 7 month old. I don't have friends to meet up with so that's out.

I do drive, we've done Sea Life down at Loch Lomond and my son loved it,but I don't know what else to do. I've never seen him so animated and want something similar.

Bookbug, think some of them are bookings only at the moment. The Clydebank pool, or the onyx has good pools for wee ones. Wee walk along the canal to see the swans at old kilpatrick.

There's Lamont Farm near you, it's only a donation to get in and they're very happy to get the wee furries out to stroke.

The wee zoo in Calderglen is also good for wee ones, and cheap as chips.

late to this but is there a mumsnet local for where you are to ask about meet ups? Going almost anywhere with a baby is more uplifting for both of you than being in.

An off the wall suggestion - my babies liked a baby carrier and we borrowed a small well behaved dog (and took my big lummox of a dog) to the local park and I have very happy memories of that. Of course, scratch that if not a dog person.

The fairy trail at Luss would be great too.

There's a Glasgow/Scotland fb page called "help what am I going to do today" it has thousands of members that like to ask and share ideas for things to do with kids. The admin have made a huge list and pinned it at the top of the page with basically every single attraction, day out, event or activity in Glasgow and surrounding areas.
People regularly post with new events and members often post asking for suggestions on days out etc. It's a handy tool when you're stuck for ideas.

Check out Renfrewshire active communities on Facebook, they organise buggy walks for parents to meet and chat. Also girls go wild Facebook is Glasgow/WestScot based and I see some people arranging meet-ups with baby/toddlers.
