Did anyone hear them? They were so low and loud with weird red lights. Any idea what they could be?

Interesting. Wonder what they were doing out this way.

It’s quite busy where I am but it’s getting a bit feisty in Russia/Ukraine could be a coincidence of course..

endofthelinefinally · 20/01/2022 19:32

The situation in Russia/Ukraine is pretty scary. Yet everyone is talking about the PM and his party (ies).
The Russia situation is being covered on channel 4 news atm.

Heard them Falkirk way. Was in the garden at the time, were really loud.

Plump82 · 20/01/2022 19:37

Well that's what i was just saying to my husband. Surely no matter how innocent it may be, the MOD should know why they were here?

They’re based at lakenheath and would have been doing exercises most likely. The MOD would at some level know what they’re doing. They’re part of the nato response.

A friend has flown her family out of Ukraine and they are currently in quarantine, I think it’s worse over there from what I have heard is being portrayed in the news over here.

CovidCorvid · 20/01/2022 20:13

I’m really worried about the Ukraine situation. I think it’s going to get bad quite quickly.

StarryEyeSurprise · 20/01/2022 20:14

I really hope we don't get involved.

mapleleavesreturn · 20/01/2022 20:40

I'm hoping the Ukraine doesn't get invaded personally for the people there but it is looking likely. I can't see Biden doing much though.

gogohm · 20/01/2022 20:45

There's extra us planes being sent to Europe, exact locations are obviously classified but I wouldn't be surprised if the U.K. is used as at least a staging post whilst the situation is so tense

gogohm · 20/01/2022 20:47

The mod and air traffic control will be aware of manoeuvres and sometimes you can track them on flight apps, they don't overtly pubish details for security reasons

Realmayowitheggs · 23/01/2022 09:28

They flew right over my house. We managed to see them in the garden. Amazing. They dropped off flight radar in Scotland but appeared back on down towards Lakenheath. They then had a while playing with a couple of typhoons off Norwich.
