My kids have all spoken Gaelic since age 3 when they started nursery when we lived in the outer Hebrides and have had all their pre-uni education in Gaelic. They chat in the language all the time, amongst the three of them and with some of their friends it's definitely their first language. They're 17, 19 and 21. We live in Glasgow now but spend as much time as we can at our Hebridean home. Dh and I only came south again this morning!

Runrig were great, and fab back in the Donnie days. But you need to hear Peat and Diesel, Tidelines, Manran, Skippinish, Peatbog Faeries. We listened to Runrig on the drive from Ullapool to Inverness today though!

I have many memories of runrig concerts back in the day! Loch Lomond, Edinburgh, Stirling, Livingston... Loved them!
