Scottish vaccine trial volunteers need your help

I've posted this in other areas but I'm posting it here as its a Scottish issue and I hope some people will support it.

Hundreds of people in Glasgow and Aberdeen signed up for vaccine trials in October 2020.

As part of The trial we have had 4 injections ( 2 vaccinations , 2 placebo), multiple blood tests, medical exams, ultrasounds and Covid testing.

Unlike in America we did this for free.

As of Sep 1st we are still registered as unvaccinated. This is putting us at a big disadvantage.

The Scottish government have refused to help resolve this.

For anyone that has had a vaccine, a volunteer helped make this possible. We really need your support now. Please help by signing. We would be extremely grateful.

To emphasise my point the SNP plan to bring it vaccine passports this month for anyone attending large venues.
No vaccine candidate can attend anything as it stands. How would you feel if you were treated this way after volunteering to get vaccines available.

DH got a record of vaccination status certificate through in the post today stating that he had the same vaccination status now as those that had NHS vaccinations.

That’s really shit OP. Thanks for letting us know about the petition as a way we can help. I hope you get somewhere with this.

torvean - I think NS said yesterday that all vaccine trial volunteers now have a letter exempting them from having to get the formal passport/ app. Is this something you've received? In any case, it seems very weird. Why treat you differently/ mark you out as different and make you have something less convenient to prove you are eligible, and not just allow you to access the app like everyone else? "Not disadvantaged" my arse... Even having to keep your letter in a safe place and stop it getting gin spilt on it seems a bit of a disadvantage to me, when anyone else can just rock up with it on their phone if they prefer.

Thank you. You understand it perfectly An A4 piece of paper is not equal. And even that bit of A4 paper is not the same as the one from NHS Inform. I'm now finished the trial, unblinded and still not registered.

In England they've organised for ppl in the same trial to get Pfizer as a cover.
ScotGov have refused so far, and it's been 1 month.

The vaccine has finally applied for approval. I have a new Conservative MSP
( Who is a Gp also).
He stood in Holyrood last week and told the govt we were disadvantaged, and to say otherwise is wrong.

He asked the health sec to commit to having us fully registered ASAP. Yousaff wouldn't commit. Prick. I've been fully vaccinated for over a year now.

Never do any health research if politicians are involved.
