Covid tests after travelling - why so expensive?

Is this right? That the costs of day 2 / 8 COVID tests in England has steadily fallen to as low as £50 but in Scotland it’s still a flat £170? Why is this?

Oh that is good news @Scottishskifun . Jealousy looking at pics on FB of our friends who decided to go for the Majorca trip we were meant to be on with them. Hope numbers don't go up so we can risk Tenerife in October.

I also dreaming of this @rookiemere until I read a couple of stories on bbc news last week of people who were in isolation as tested positive abroad and couldn't get flight home
I thought.....nah

I am counting down the days til we go on holiday can't bloody wait! We picked a country which doesn't need inbound tests and it's only a lateral flow for flight back.
But we are both double vaccinated and still have covid antibodies. I think it helps that DS is under the testing age so we have no risk with him (plus he has antibodies still)

I know @latissimusdorsi but DH and DS are likely to revolt if we don't go if it's possible at that point. I'm also more likely to risk it for some late Autumn sun. We're away at Glencoe at the minute and the weather is perfectly pleasant albeit not Majorca hot.
