Heading down to Ayr at the end of the week, looking for somewhere to eat for tea/dinner that is child/dog friendly and relatively close to the train station.

Any ideas, thanks

Thanks @LizzieMacQueen I did Google but you never know who's still in business now sadly. Last time I was in Ayr nearly 20 year ago they had the same restaurant as my home town, I think, little john, long gone.

I'm in ayrshire

Smith's Bar is dog n child friend and near the station.

The waterfront is lovely but a wee bit further away (still walkable, have done myself before)

The Buf Ayr also good but might be busy and not sure about kids

Finally, Gro has just opened an Ayr Branch, we go to the Irvine one a lot, it's absolutely fab but unfortunately miles away from station
