I’m not, but assuming a space to discuss #GownsDown ?

#ResignHumzaYousaf is also still trending

😂 no drink involved!

@Bytheloch has it. It was making me very sad as an ex criminal lawyer. I loved the job and sometimes wish things had turned out differently and I’d stuck with it.

Because the system has been so run down by the SG they can’t get new young lawyers to join. The justice system will collapse. Scotland had a proud tradition of justice, a model, and it’s really sad to see.

Hourly fees for criminal legal aid have gone up by £6 per hour since i stopped practising 20 odd years ago.

This once again fails the most vulnerable in our society.

Civil legal aid rates and those for children’s cases are also pitifully paid.
