Would you move from Lenzie to Gartcosh?

Hi living in Lenzie currently but looking to move to a new build. Would you recommend Gartcosh? Or is there any other new build estates you could recommend? Scared we are making the wrong decision as we currently live near schools.

Personally, no. There's nothing there.

@StarryEyeSurprise thank you for your honest answer

Are all kids in secondary?

If not schools could be a problem.

If so is there good transport from Gartcosh? Because I'd imagine teens will miss the convenient station for shopping.

What are you reasons for moving?

Propertyadvice · 30/04/2021 10:15

Eldest driving so not a problem, youngest in primary so she is biggest concern. I just want a new house. It is quite a lot of money to fix our house properly, nearly £50 000. We cannot afford a new build in this area. Considering remortgaging but wondered if it might just be easier to move.

I wouldn't want to rely on a placing request into Lenzie from outside EDC with the amount of (mostly CALA) building plus all of Woodilee! Maybe Kirkintilloch might work but obviously less convenient for the station etc.

Thanks for all input. We have decided to stay put. The loss of convenience would be far too big, especially for my little one.
