Any other healthcare workers had / NOT had vaccine yet?

Does anybody know the timetable / when it's expected?

I'm a paid carer for one half of a CEV elderly couple and received an email from them with a link to register for the vaccine. (I think this is Priority 2 Eligible Health & Social Care Staff?)

That was a month ago now and I've heard nothing since. I did get an email from VOCAL (Voice Of Carers Across Lothian) at the weekend saying there is now a portal for carers to registers themselves online, but I think this is for unpaid carers? (I am actually an unpaid carer for the other half of the couple, hence why I'm registered with them).

I've not filled anything out on the portal because I assumed I was already on the waiting list (from the paid carers online form). But I keep hearing of people in lower priority groups having had the jab and I'd love to know from others in the same situation if you are still waiting or if you've had it?

Just to say - I'm generally fit and healthy in my mid twenties, so I'm not desperately trying to queue jump or anything. If it wasn't for the CEV couple I visit, I wouldn't care. I'm just trying to work out if I've fallen through the cracks or if we really are so far behind England that they're doing Over 40s and we've still not got through frontline healthcare workers?

What health board are you? They're all doing 2nd doses for nhs staff and carers now. Lothian, where I am, had a last call for 1st doses early Feb.Some of the registration was a bit chaotic tbh!

your quickest way now is to register as unpaid carer and get it that way. Should be quite straightforward. I gather they're doing them late March.

I think you need to chase this up.

You should at least have been in group 6 and had an appointment by now. I would ring, especially given the debacle over letters in the Lothian region last week.

I think if you try to register via the portal for unpaid carers, if they have allocated you an appointment, it will show up.
I'm basing this on what someone posted on another thread.
Either way, get onto the register.
