Holyrood is so embarrassing. This is all so unedifying. Neither is fit for office but it’s as though the SNP don’t have a better idea.

The loser today is the Scottish people. For anyone watching that today from any country would be flabbergasted at the incompetence of elected officials.

I was astounded at the 2nd impeachment trial of Trump and the subsequent vote. This is as astounding IMO.

Is this what democracy looks like in Scotland?

I’m settling in with the popcorn and hoping the SNP tear themselves apart, frankly!
I hope this unsavoury spectacle of two vile narcissists knocking lumps out of each other will finally make their supporters sit up and realise what a mess this incompetent party has made of Scotland.
It is shameful that we have sunk to the level of a tinpot dictatorship, where the civil service, police, media and courts are all in the party’s pocket. Welcome to modern Scotland.

True we have to be grateful for small mercies.

I think we should stop using indyref2, naming it as such gives a legitimacy that it doesn't currently have. Words matter. I've used it myself in the past but I'm trying not to now.

Yes it sounds a bit too cosy. The Tories used it in the last 2 GEs though as in 'Say NO to IndyRef2' It is a 'divisive separation referendum' I suppose. 'Another Separation Referendum'....?
