Who listens to Kaye Adams on Radio Scotland?

Right now the Queen of Clean Aggie Somebody is on. She seems to be on quite often. But she doesn't actually seem to know anything more than anyone else? She is annoying me out of all proportion. Why is she on the radio as an expert when the people phoning and texting in know more than she does?

Someone has just phoned in to ask how to wash her rug. Aggie said "Are there no washing instructions on the rug?" Obviously not, or the person wouldn't be phoning in asking for advice.

I hate working at home, it has reduced me to hating random people on the radio who are probably quite nice in real life. I am so intolerant. I wasn't like this before. But this woman and her complete lack of expert knowledge pisses me off so much. I know I should turn the radio off but then there would be silence and that would piss me off even more.

Did she not used to do that weird channel 4 How Clean Is Your House? I remember one where there was a woman who looked like she was really struggling with housework and depression, and there was no suggestion her family should do anything it was all 'pull yourself together'.

I seem to remember they were very keen on vinegar and lemons for cleaning, and taking swabs from loo seats and growing Petri dishes of bacteria.

Today she was talking about spraying vodka into smelly trainers.

I need to stop getting so riled up by completely irrelevant things. My tolerance levels have fallen through the floor this past week or so.

I am also hugely, hugely irritated to notice today that Edinburgh schools don't finish until December 23rd 2021. I realise this is more than a year away and I should not be getting irritated by this already but seriously, 23rd?

I am this pissed off already and it's only Monday morning.

Oh yes, and that's when I discovered that making environmentally friendly cleaning products using bicarbonate was ineffective and much more messy. I'll join on the petty obsessions of lockdown!

What's currently ticking me off in a pedantic fashion? A tacky label on an expensive Christmas candle. Why make a crazy overpriced candle with a nice smell for candle obsessed wallies like me to buy, and then badly stick on a label that a toddler could've created?

Or you could go and buy a smelly trainer spray for £5-£10, rather than wasting good vodka!

One of the newsreaders sounds like she's scared and is going to cry and then the man on with her has the most annoying voice I've ever heard

I do like Kaye, she is good background chat. You can tune in when it's interesting and tune out when it's not. Just like my office used to be in the good old days.

I don't know why poor old Aggie has annoyed me so much.

I am waiting for a Jo Malone candle to be delivered for my mum's christmas, is it going to be rubbish? That might tip me over the edge this week.

Ah, okay. Hopefully she won't notice a wonky label, since she refuses to wear her new varifocals because they make her look old.

Agree with others that Kaye Adams is great - she has enough experience and intelligence to handle the really difficult stuff but can also do the light and fluffy.

I don't mind Kaye. Much better than the R4 pretendy intellectuals - if they actually were experts they wouldn't be journalists would they?
