So if I’m in a tier 3 area can I travel to Other tier 3 areas just not no tier 2?

Not sure I quite get that bit.

Coming soon the simplified 1 tier system.

Are you enjoying something - stop it.

Mrsjayy · 30/10/2020 17:00

@RJnomore1 takes us just under an hour to get there but I usually go at Christmas for the outlet and a mooch about the big centre. Yeah I m fine not seen you around in ages, you good ?

Yes how very dare we want to do a bit of Christmas shopping eh

BrightSunshineDay · 30/10/2020 17:04

It's all just guidance. I know a group of NHS nurses in tier 3 just back from a holiday abroad, straight back on the wards after being on a flight with 200+ people. This is allowed but 10 minutes up the road is prohibited ConfusedHmm

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 30/10/2020 17:10

Very important question: are we allowed to have a sit-in coffee in a cafe (in a different council area), or does it have to be a takeaway?
Asking for a friend.

RaspberryCoulis · 30/10/2020 17:14

No idea, @ICouldHaveCheckedFirst but this is what I have planned for tomorrow.

museumum · 30/10/2020 17:17

So if we're still allowed to travel into Glasgow city for work, healthcare, schooling, shopping etc, what exactly are we NOT allowed to travel for?
You’re NOT allowed to travel to get round the restrictions (eg all the stupid feckers from glasgow drinking just over the Argyll border 😡)

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 30/10/2020 17:17

Have you booked, @RaspberryCoulis? Everywhere seems so busy these days.

RaspberryCoulis · 30/10/2020 17:28

I wouldn't imagine you'd have to book for Starbucks... hope not anyway!!

anon444877 · 30/10/2020 17:55

Ha get there early, 3 cafes I tried to get to this week packed at 11am.

ssd · 30/10/2020 18:17

Oh god the queues today for our local cafe in the park, and it was mainly elderly people in it.

Sunflowergirl1 · 30/10/2020 18:24

It is the ultimate in fuckwittery...just like so much about the irrational nature of the rules, laws and guidance.

I live 100m inside a tier 3 area in the middle of countryside....everything I do whether work, shopping etc is in my neighbouring county which is tier 1 so frankly the politicians can fuck off telling me not to "travel"

I won't go on about other stupid stuff at the moment

RJnomore1 · 30/10/2020 20:43

@Mrsjayy I’m good, don’t post much these days thoigh. Are you all well?

So DH has just told me his friend and his wife have booked a weekend in Perthshire next weekend so they can go to the pub.

And I’m worrying???

Drove along Byres Road last Saturday and all the cafes had queues

nicerbeing · 31/10/2020 01:43

Dundee is going to be rammed this weekend. Its level 3 with the surrounding Angus and Perth & Kinross level 2. The amount of social media posts I have read about 'going to Dundee while we still can' is shocking. It's also end of the month so the idiots have money Sad

Fridgeandkitchen · 31/10/2020 08:12

I think most places will be busy this weekend, particularly if the leak to the press about another lockdown from next week are to be believed.

anon444877 · 31/10/2020 08:57

Yes based on every other time restrictions were in the offing, the shops have been rammed.

Groovee · 31/10/2020 13:02

Dd lives in Dundee and she's been living a better social life than us in Edinburgh. She's in for a shock come Monday.

The good thing is my SIL can't just turn up from a tier 2 area come Monday 😂🤣
