It’s increasing at an alarming rate suddenly. It’s hard to know if the new restrictions will be enough to stop the spread now.

Eh? The WHO want European countries to take tougher measures to get the virus under control. That kind of flies in the face of what you want does it not? I thought you wanted fewer restrictions and didn't really mind about the covid deaths?

Everyone was shouting with faux concern about the Western Isles a few days ago, and the fact that they shouldn't have any restrictions. Now they've got a cluster, and have basically gone into a self-imposed lockdown. This could happen anywhere. That's why the restrictions are in place. For everyone.

The WHO have said its disappointing Europe are going backwards. Tending to suggest they never got it right in the first place.

I think for the FM to have been boasting about how great we were doing and looking at elimination has been proven to be either incompetent or one big lie. Look at where we are, 6 months onwards it’s a complete clusterfuck that this is where our government has led us. Just round in a bloody circle. So now, to try and fix it, they do the same thing that didn’t work before. Fantastic! What is that they say about madness?... let’s just hope she protects care homes a bit better this time.

Have a good evening, I won’t be spending any more time replying to you.

🤔

Sturgeon has had 6 months to get a test and trace system working effectively. We still don’t have that- in fact I believe less than half of the 2000 contact tracers promised have actually been recruited.

She has spent the whole summer wailing about how much better she’s doing than England, using false figures to support this. Now she has totally lost control and is desperately imposing restrictions that simply push the problem down the line.

Our cases are going up at an alarming rate but the question has to tbe what effect it is having ??
Is the nhs overhwelmed ..no. Are we seeing hundreds of people dying no

Then its time to let it run its course for a little while . the graphs quite clearly show that lockdown merely paused the infection numbers.. the more we lockdown and hide away the longer this goes on

sonicbook · 30/09/2020 16:36

Surely there's a lag though? Fewer people may be dying at this point but these numbers will rise.

I'm concerned about long Covid. The threads where people have had it for months absolutely terrify me!

Scotslassie1 · 30/09/2020 16:43

Eccosse- Scotland's test and trace had a 95/97 per cent success rate. My friend has been seconded to be a contract tracer in the NHS.
