Hi, has anyone got experience with any of these two schools (Kelvinside Academy and The Glasgow Academy)? They both look very good but I can't distinguish between the two. Any opinions are much appreciated.

Of those 2 and based on a friend's experience, (I'm talking 12/15 years ago), Kelvinside was easier for a non academic child to get into.

Have you considered the High School of Glasgow? My brother's kids were/are there. Very happy with it.

Thanks for the info I will look at that as an other option.

I took my daughter to meet the rector and tour kelvinside. Really impressed. Friendly, warm, inviting and nurturing. Small school with small class sizes and a lovely feel to it. In comparison I visited TGA and found it impersonal and rather uninviting. ,

Did you make a decision?

Apology for the late post. Yes we did make a decision. We went for TGA. My daughter loves the school and everyone one seems really friendly. From an academic point of view she is well on track with her learning. Overall we are happy.
