Hi there, Im not sure if anyone else is aware of this but its a major concern. I had a a really abusive ex, violent, controlling (this is fifteen years ago) Anyway I have spent the last 15 years in the family court fighting to protect my child from the same abuse. What I have discovered in the process is a huge concern for any mother in Scotland who raises claims of abuse in the family courts. We all trust the courts but through those doors you enter a different world . If your child is resisting contact with your abusive ex the welfare reporters manipulate the reports, they are in cahoots with the judges and the lawyers and they diminish the abuse so that the child will get forced into contact. Mothers in Scotland are getting threatened with the removal of their kids if they dont comply, and threatened with jail (a few have gone to jail). I wanted to warn everyone. I am now campaigning with a load of other mums from all over Scotland to get the laws changed (on twitter and fb (the court said). If anyone is in the family courts now with an abusive ex please be very careful when your child starts resisting contact. They can be ruthless. There is a bill going through parliament right now which is being debated next week (Childrens Bill) and if anyone is suffering from this issue, or had a bad experience, as a mother in the family court then you can contact your MSP in the next day or 2 and tell them.
