I like it 🤭

HirplesWithHaggis · 10/04/2020 00:06

I'm not seeing it, but I can't abide Susan Calman and have been known to switch channels when she comes on.

PineappleDanish · 10/04/2020 08:33

I've only seen it a couple of times but then I never watch ITV. Love Susan Calman though!

I don’t get her. Her dad was a judge. Her image doesn’t really sit with that. Maybe I am missing something ?

Dreamersandwishers · 10/04/2020 09:57

Huh, not entirely sure what her dad’s profession has to do with it, but didn’t she give up a legal career because she felt she couldn’t be herself ( I.e. stand-up Lesbian etc)

ssd · 10/04/2020 09:59

It's a bit ridiculous what the older woman says, I've never heard anyone speak like that, but I like the advert anyway. It's harmless.

prettybird · 10/04/2020 11:03

Her dad wasn't a judge Confused

He was a doctor. In fact, my dad worked for him when my dad was a senior registrar.

He went on to become Chief Medical Officer for Scotland.

I0NA · 10/04/2020 12:55

@fascinated

Why you are judging a woman by her father’s job? Is this 1950?

And @prettybird is right ( as always ). Her father was an oncologist.

prettybird · 10/04/2020 12:58

I did get it wrong in my post though Wink He was my dad's senior registrar when dad was a junior registrar.

I0NA · 10/04/2020 15:08

Oh no I always though you were infallible 🤭

prettybird · 10/04/2020 15:37

GrinGrin

fascinated · 12/04/2020 14:33

Ok, I stand corrected - she was the lawyer, was she? I suppose I just must find her irritating. Regardless of who her dad was. Seems so inauthentic.

prettybird · 12/04/2020 17:01

She was indeed a lawyer - but is now a full time entertainer (and writer?)

Elieza · 12/04/2020 17:22

I quite like it. But I am a bit weird......Grin
It’s the schoolgirls handing her down the brolly that makes me laugh. Does she pay for it?
