Potential move to Ayrshire - Fairlie

We are considering a move from Renfrewshire to Ayrshire - in particular Fairlie. I'm wondering what the local primary school is like as I am looking for smaller class size for my son when he starts school 2021 compared with the larger class sizes we have here locally. He has a speech and language disorder. However my older daughter age 8 thrives in a busy classroom... but Largs Academy looks like a good option for High School so we are thinking longer term for her.

Any experiences / opinions of Fairlie?x

Hi jasysbutton,

Thanks for posting - we're no experts in the area or the schools but we wanted to jump in, say hello and give this a bump for you.

We hope some of our wise users will be along shortly with some advice and suggestions for you.

Good Luck with your relocation.

Lovely village. Handy for largs. Very good secondary school and the primary is likely to be very good too. Kelburn is lovely for walks and riding. Great for golfing, sailing club is good too. Seafood at Finn's and farmers market. You will love it. Great community garden allotments too.
