Parking at Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Does anyone have advice or tips? I've heard horrors about the parking.

I have an interview next week & don't want to be arriving late/stressed/windswept.

I'm happy to park & hop a bus/cab & walk a bit.

Any info appreciated.

It’s not as bad as you’d think. I’ve not had a problem parking but I assume it’s based on what time you’d be arriving. There are a few car parks. There’s even one behind the children’s hospital not run by hospital which is £4 a day. The other option is park and ride from braehead?

It’s fine, honestly, I’ve never not gotten parked.
Leave yourselves enough time and aim for the multi-storey, there is usually plenty of parking there.

I agree with leaving plenty time, its a large campus.

Good luck with your interview.

I always park in the multi story on the left at you go in, then enter hospital by the door at the discharge lounge, always found a space.

Just leave yourself plenty of time. I've always found one, but I've had to circle for a bit in order to do so. I'd leave at least 45 minutes between arrival at the hospital and your interview time.

Thanks all. I think I'll go over lunchtime & just be very early. I'll allow an hour to find a space.

Do you have to pay for parking?

No, it's free.

Thanks all - I got parked in the multi-storey as you go in on left. The whole hospital is rather overwhelming!

Glad you found a space and hope the interview went well.
Whilst I don't love hospitals, it's a palace compared to any others I've been in!
They also do the best chocolate doughnuts I've ever tasted on a WednesdayGrin
