Edinburgh Airport Lounges

Dh and I never usually bother with lounges apart from at Sanford Airport.

But it's his 50th this year and we're going away. Am tempted to book a lounge to have a nice wee start to our trip.

Can anyone recommend one?

Used the Aspire last year when we flew to Berlin with 2 other couples for one of the DH's 50th. We worked out that food would be needed, coffees plus kicking off celebrations with airport drinks would cost us more in the ordinary lounge. It was lovely. The reserved seating is so calm and the food of a much better standard . We like a tipple (responsibly of course) and for us it was excellent value. But even if your priority is a chilled start to your break it will be worth it for that. We are going away, just us 2, in October and I 'm gutted that our flight time is too early to book again as it's great.

The No1 lounge is newer and I think a little bit nicer than the Aspire one. Nice view of planes too.

We have used both. The Number 1 is a nicer lounge but the Aspire has a better breakfast - so depends on your flight time really and what you're wanting. The Number 1 also has toilets inside the lounge whereas for the other one you have to go out to the terminal (but they're close so no problem)
