Help With Areas Close to Glasgow Airport

Hi,

I'm looking for some help and advice please! My family and I would like to relocate to a village close Glasgow Airport. We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old.

We're looking at buying a 3 bed property and we have a pretty tight budget (£160000). Important factors in relocating are nurseries and schools. We've looked into affordable areas that we've heard good things about Bridge of Weir (they have one property within our range at the moment 😂), Kilmacolm, Beith and Lochwinnoch (although the high school for Lochwinnoch is Johnston and isn't recommend by some). Dalry and Erskine look affordable, but I can't find information on the nurseries & schools.

We're coming from Almondbank close to Perth and it's really nice here. Good community, nursery and school (except I don't like any of the high schools close by!). We're looking for a similar community feel in a reasonably sized village.

Thanks for any help and advice!

I think your house budget is far too low to get a house in an area that is catchment for very good schools. If you don’t have an extra £100k then good schools will be the compromise. As the airport is just off the M8 many places in west central belt are close

EndOfIt thanks so much for all those links! We're going to see and of the places tomorrow! Very helpful!

Inchinian and Langbank don't have anything at our price range just now.

We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow, viewing a few different areas.

Thanks again for all the help

How about Large? Great secondary school, good nurseries. Gorgeous views and although the drive to GLA can be a bit trick on the odd day in winter a lovely seaside town with a great character and good to bring children up in.
