East Renfrewshire schools standardised test

Hi, does anyone know how I can convert the East Renfrewshire standardised test results to a percentile? This is for primary school.

I have googled this and can see tables converting results to percentile scores but am not sure if this is definitely correct for the tests my ds has done.

Any advice appreciated, thank you. I will speak to the school when I get the opportunity.

Huh? Where did you get the info? Despite my attempts, my school is VERY tight lipped about them.

I think the table I am looking at must be correct where a score of 100 equals a percentile rank of 50.

I was doubting myself because when I asked about it last time, the teacher said she thought the school tests were different.

Arkadia - do you mean they don't give you the results or an explanation of what the results mean? The results are always on the end of year report for my ds' school

Sorry don't know why my user name has changed back to my old one. I am paleblue and thrillerj

I know absolutely nothing,. I didn't even know there were percentiles for these tests.
I have been told that on the school report (due on Fri) they will say whether my DD has achieved Level1 (big deal...). That. Is. It!
In what form did you get the info? (See my thread slightly further down).

ThrillerJ · 20/06/2018 13:19

I thought your thread was about something different because the test results ds gets are for p3, p5 and p7. So I didn't read your thread. I will have a read of it see if it helps me.

I am not sure that there are percentiles. If I Google percentile scores for standard tests there is a chart and it says on the report the authority average is 100 which I think could mean 100 equals percentile of 50.

Are you East Renfrewshire?

I am now very confused. Ds was tested p3 and then p5.

Just got a score for reading and one for numeracy and maths. And it says 100 is the authority average.

Don't know what I am doing to keep changing my user name!! Sorry.

Hang on, the standardized assessment is P1, P4, P7 and S3, so you must be talking about something your school or LA does, rather than the national tests that started this year.

ThrillerJ · 20/06/2018 13:32

Yes. I just read info on your thread. I think what I am talking about is different.

Your thread is interesting, thank you
