Council Summer Nursery places

Just wondering if anyone can tell me when I should expect to find out if my daughter has a place at my local school nursery for after summer 2018...

I think they possibly told me I would hear after Easter... so wasn't sure when I should chase them up.

I'm in Edinburgh if that makes a difference!

I reckon it will be fairly soon, as it's usually done after school places. We got our offer (state school) within the last couple of weeks.

MoreProsecco thanks! I'll give it till the end of May or so before I ask! I don't have any mum friends with kids the same age, most are slightly older so could have been Easter joiners so got places confirmed at the beginning of the year, or are younger so aren't thinking about it yet!

We found out just after Easter.

Ours went out last week at an Edinburgh Nursery. I would call the office and just check. I know directly after Easter we were chasing those staying to ask what session they wanted for next term. Then it mean we could juggle the offers.

I think it's done by each nursery individually so worth checking now. I didn't chase my daughters place until it was too late after finding out that she didn't have a place to get a place in another nursery. It really seems to depend on how well staffed the office is in the school you've applied to.
