Hotel recommendations 2 hours ish from Glasgow

Looking for a night away. Boutique esque hotel, not massive preferably. Good food wine/gin, nice wee walk open fire maybe? Not ££££ but happy to spend up to £200.

Was considering auchenrannie on Arran... anyone been? Open to suggestions though

When you say "2 hours ish" are you factoring in that Arran is an island with a timetabled ferry service?

Oh yeah, I'm fine with that. Im actually in Glasgow. Just Ruth it ring 1 night don't want to be travelling much further north than aviemore fir example

Culcreuch Castle in Fintry? Lovely and cosy this time of year.

Cameron House. North of Glasgow but very posh.

Have been to C house. After something a bit more personal.

Loved Fonab Castle, was there earlier in the year but £££

The Champany Inn in Linlithgow. Might be top end of your budget but absolutely ticks all your boxes.

I've always got good deals on MyHotelBreak.com (it has a FB page) or Itison, sometimes 5pm.com or Hotel Connexions - they are my go-to places for bargain deals!

George hotel Inveraray. Open fire, great pub meals. Or for posher, portavadie.

What about the Savoy Park in Ayr?

Oh I love the George. Stumbled across the best impromptu BBQ there at the tail end of last summer.
