DD is desperate to find out next year's teacher. Fingers crossed they tell us before then.

Last day in p7 for one of mine, eldest now in s4. How the heck did that happen??

Yes, we finish at lunchtime at Christmas too. Though in effect it's an extra day off for my two as it is Cathedral and we are atheists.... Easter and October end at normal time but Easter is effectively a half day because again it's cathedral.

Half day Thursday in Fife. My DD is P7 and has had stuff on every week for the past month and it feels more stressful than joyous!

School finishes on Thursday at lunchtime. Can't wait! Got to get through a stack of paperwork plus move room into the office next door. Staff are going out for lunch once we wave the kids goodbye which is a change and means we all will be out of school sharp. At home DS1 left S6 last month so only have one S5 and one P4 finishing school for the summer this year 🎉

Finish at 1.15 on Friday and get on a flight at 5.30 on Friday

Euphemia - we finish at 2.30pm at Christmas. Which is a bit shit if a Thursday or Friday since we finish at 2.50pm on those days normally.

I'm very jealous of the half day Fridays some authorities have. I'm a spent force by break on a Friday.

Wednesday finish here in East Dunbartonshire. Can't wait. Kids staying at Primary found out about classes for next year on Friday.

My friends in Dublin have two boys, 11 and 14.

11 year old finishes next Friday, back 28/8

14 year old finished 2 June, back 28/8.

Two mid term weeks Feb and October aswell. My friend is Secondary school teacher, and loves the hols!

Wednesday at 1 here in North Ayrshire back on the 17th August.

Tuesday 1pm for us in Glasgow, we go back 15th August.

Been on new timetable for a few weeks so I now have an S3, an S4 and an S6! Just got to stop them killing each other for 7 weeks now!!

Friday at midday.

We finish at 12.25 every Friday anyway so even if it was a usual day it'd still be a half day!

12pm on Friday for my 2. My contract ended last week so I get a week off to myself.

Thursday at 12.30 too! My DD's last a primary school (although they had done no work at all in P7!) Still got school show, leavers assembly, prom, dance at high school & church service to go ... Might need 6 weeks to recover before high school starts!

DD goes back on Tuesday 15th August.

For now, she is perfectly content in her jammies and eating toast. Bliss.

And she found out her teacher is a trendy young Irish teacher with a guitar, so she's delighted!

DS1 isn't going in, he has 1 period of Maths first thing, 3 free periods then 24 minutes of Physics. DS2 hasn't decided yet. He only has 4 periods anyway. He has however spent the evening doing his first draft of an English essay so he can hand that in tomorrow so he nothing outstanding for Friday....bless...:o
