Recommendations for a Stained Glass Artist in Central Scotland/Glasgow/Edinburgh??

I am looking for somebody with a bit of vision Grin

We live in an old house with various bits of stained glass - some windows, a couple of skylights and some internal panels. There are also several panes of stained glass in the attic which we found after we moved in 11 years ago.
I would like to use the glass in those panes to create a new panel for a ceiling light - kinda difficult to explain.

So, how to find somebody who has the technical know-how AND is prepared to do something a bit unusual?
I have spoken to a few glaziers and some stained glass restorers but none of them were interested Confused

I was thinking of maybe contact the Glasgow School of Art? Or is that a stupid idea?
Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Have you had a look on the Craft Scotland website? I think you can search by specialism.
www.craftscotland.org/find-craft/
Or you could look to see if there are any stained glass artists taking part in open studio events. I know of Spring Fling in Dumfries and Galloway and Forth Valley Open Studios but there must be others running elsewhere.

Have you contacted SmashinGlass in southside of Glasgow?

There is someone in Kirriemuir who does a lot of stained glass work, I think her name is Maureen But sorry don't know her surname or how to find her.

Oh, lovely, suggestions, thank you all Thanks

I have been pondering this for so long and have made efforts on and off, then got distracted again by more important RL things so it fell by the way side so often, that I am fed up with myself. And I am quite sure I have been going about it wrong…

I wonder what would happen if I googled 'Maureen' and Kirriemuir Grin

Lorraine Lamond did a beautiful stained glass installation for my parents. They live in an old sandstone building in south Lanarkshire. It's beautiful - she really is an artist.

Ooh, more suggestions, thank you all so much.
Will have kids' school holidays to get out of the road and then I am definitely going to tackle this gaping hole in our hall ceiling. We've now lived with it for 8 years - it is amazing what one can get used to! HmmGrin

Oh my goodness you will be spoilt for choice now. Some of them are so beautiful. I was going to say I know of someone in Cumbria though he made be retired now. Thinking where could I put a window!
