Vulnerable missing woman - Knightswood, Glasgow
Police are appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing a woman missing from her home in Knightswood, Glasgow, since Monday 30 November 2015.
Grace Carrigan (71), who has dementia and Alzheimer's, was last seen by her husband in their home in Lochlibo Ave, Knightswood, Glasgow, around 2230 hours last night, however, when he woke at 0230 hours this morning she was not there.
Grace is described as white, 5ft 3, of thin build and has grey hair. It is believed she is wearing a purple raincoat with a hood, blue denims and black boots.
Insp Kenny Darroch, Drumchapel Police Office, said:
"It is imperative we find Grace as soon as possible. It is very cold outside and the fact that Grace has been away now for nearly six hours gives us and her family great concern.
"Recently she has been upset and has been talking about her childhood home in Govan, although she left there when she was 11 years old.
"I would ask people, especially bus or taxi drivers, as well as those who work though the night to keep a look out for her.
"Officers are in the area carrying out a search for her and are checking CCTV in an effort to trace her.
"Although missing once before, she was found by a neighbour in the street and it was shortly after she went missing.
"Anyone with information as to her whereabouts is asked to contact Drumchapel Police Office via 101."
