Can anyone suggest nice Christmassy days out in Scotland?

Just looking for some nice ideas to plan a day out or two in December for dd and ds. They are early primary age. Thanks.

My niece is at uni in Scotland and is Going to the Christmas fair at glamis castle 11-13 dec

George Square funfair in Glasgow

Strathspey Railway does a Santa Express.

Falkland Palace is doing a Christmas event too.

Edinburgh always put on lovely stuff - there is often a nice theatre (puppet type) thing on at the Traverse I think.

Or the Bo'ness Santa train?

I'm from the coast so I love a walk on the beach in mid winter

There's just been an item on the news about a new attraction for Edinburgh's Christmas. There's going to be 16 arches of light going up the Royal Mile and there will be two shows per day where the lights are synchronized with music. Sounds like it could be really lovely.

neds Glasgow on ice in George Sq is fun and they have special sessions for young children.

Edinburgh is always lonely at Christmas! Glasgow has a Christmas market and ice skating

Thought that was a bit of East/West bias creeping in babette !

Last year Edinburgh had Xmas markets, big wheel, Winter gardens with train ride & ice-rink. Gets very busy, held in Princes St & stuff going on in Charlotte square too.
